Extended Day Treatment Program
In operation since 1994, this program is the only one of its kind in the state of Nebraska. Its unique strength-based, relationship focused approach is designed for children ages 6-11 with serious emotional and/or behavioral challenges who are at risk for out-of-home placement or hospitalization.
Each child within the program is involved in individual, group, family, and milieu therapies using some of our research-based treatment options. A strong parent/guardian commitment to the process is expected, and participation in family therapy is required.
The Extended Day Treatment Program operates daily during the school year (Monday-Thursday 2:00-6pm and Friday 2:00-5:30pm) and during the summer (Monday-Friday 9am-2pm) to provide children with treatment for trauma and behaviors that are causing significant issues to improve coping skills, social skills, and community functioning. For this program Medicaid is the only insurance accepted.
