Therapeutic Group Home

Therapeutic Group Home

The Therapeutic Group Home is available to males ages 13-18 who have demonstrated sexually abusive behaviors and require an intensive level of care and supervision while working to reduce their risk for future sexual misconduct.

The Group Home is a community-based secure facility that provides 24-hour awake supervision for twelve youth. The program provides a holistic, trauma-informed, and strength-based approach to youth while working to reduce their risk for harm to other through the development of pro-social coping, interpersonal skills, and emotional regulation.

Youth are involved in a structured routine of individual, group and family therapies to address their treatment needs and goals. Recreational and community activities are included to assist youth in utilizing skills they develop in real life settings. Our in-house school helps provide the learning and behavior management skills for successful community, school and family reintegration.

This program, opened in 1992, is the only Therapeutic Group Home of its kind in Nebraska focused on serving this important group of youth.

Intensive Outpatient Program
The Intensive Outpatient Program is provided in conjunction with the Therapeutic Group Home. Youth will attend a minimum of three hours of involvement on a daily basis, five days per week. Youth may be involved up to12 hours per day if the youth is waiting for a bed at the group home.

The program involves many of the services listed above in the Therapeutic Group Home. The amount and intensity of programming is based on the risk that the individual youth presents for sexual misconduct and community safety.
